Reaching the desk and what is worth writing about
The Naira Gold Gram desk is the place to send a question about how a figure is taken, a source that no longer works, or a correction. This page explains what the desk answers, what it cannot answer, and what happens to a correction.

What to write about
Write to the desk when a figure looks wrong, when a linked source has moved or closed, or when you want to know how a measurement is taken. The desk reads every message and uses them to check the tables. A question about why a column uses one rate and not another is welcome, and so is a note that a source link now leads somewhere else. The desk does not need a reader to be certain; a suspicion is enough to start a check.
The most useful message names the page, the date, and the figure in question. If a source link is broken, say which one and where it appeared. The desk then goes back to the named public source and reads it again. If the source has moved, the desk finds the new location or marks the figure as unverified until a working source is found.
What the desk does
The desk is responsible for every figure on the site. It reads the named public sources, records the date and hour of each reading, and republishes the result. There is no Nigerian gold fixing; every figure is the world gold price multiplied by a naira rate. The desk uses the CBN NFEM rate for official columns and the Lagos street sell rate for street columns. Karat values are the 24 karat gram times the karat over twenty-four.
A reader who wants to check a figure can open the source linked under each table and see the same number at its publisher. The desk does not blend sources or adjust a figure to make it look smoother. If a source is silent on a day, the site says so instead of guessing. The desk answers questions about method, but it does not answer questions about what a reader should do with the gold price.
Corrections
A correction is the reason this address exists. If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. The original figure is not hidden; the corrected table shows the new figure and the date it was changed. The desk keeps no archive of old figures, so a correction replaces the wrong number rather than sitting beside it. A reader who spots a wrong figure should write to editor@nairagoldgramng.pages.dev with the page and the date.
The desk does not argue about whether a figure is right. It checks the source and, if the source says something different, the site matches the source. If the source itself has changed its published figure, the desk updates the table and notes the change. The desk does not correct a figure because a reader disagrees with the source; it corrects a figure only when the site no longer matches what the source shows.
What the desk cannot answer
The desk gives no personal investment advice, no help with a broker's account, and no tips. It does not say whether now is a good time to buy or sell gold, and it does not recommend any dealer or bank. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A message asking for advice will get a reply that says the desk cannot answer it, but the desk will still check any figure mentioned in the message.
The site holds no client money and has no accounts, no login, and no comment form. The desk cannot look up a transaction or speak to a broker on a reader's behalf. If a reader has a problem with a broker, that is between the reader and the broker. The desk's only role is to publish the measurement and to correct it when it is wrong.
